The Rebelles

Can you feel a certain vibration in the air? Could it be the anticipation of longer and sunnier days to come in Naarm? Perhaps the simultaneous shimmying of fifteen girl group queens? Or maybe it is the sounds of guitars being positively drenched in reverb? Yes, it's all of these things! And they will be converging at **Shotkickers** on Sunday 27th October, when the afternoon will see **The Rebelles** and **The Agents of REVERB** come together to conjure up a shuddering, rollicking good time. **The Rebelles** will be setting the stage to trembling with their stomping feet and the audience's hearts a-flutter with their sweet and sassy harmonies. For more years than they care to count, the Rebelles have plied their mix of girl group classics and inspired originals around Naarm, building a wall of sound from 15 female voices and 4 extraordinary instrumentalists. With their selection of ballads, rocking numbers and tunes somewhere on the spectrum in between, the Rebelles know how to make you sway, dance and sing along. **The Agents of REVERB** are a 4 piece band that play surf and spy/detective music from TV and films of the 1960s, with a nod to rockabilly, R&B, soul and instro shakers. All members of the band have played around Melbourne venues/hotels/festivals, and also interstate, gaining serious chops and wowing crowds playing for Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Loonee Tunes, Beware! Black Holes, The Unthinkable, the T.V. Evangelists and other bands. Throw in their 5th agent – the uber talented Agent Valentina Tereshkova, who usually joins the band on vocals – and you've got a good time guaranteed!
